Adbri’s sustainability plan is centered around contributing to a safe, healthy and sustainable future for Australians, local communities and the environment. Biodiversity management and land rehabilitation are a big part of Adbri’s approach to sustainability. Adbri’s presence in Geelong has seen them undertake landscaping and planting to rejuvenate the natural landscape around the quarry and protect native flora and fauna. The Batesford quarry is well advanced in rehabilitation, with the quarry to be converted to a 30m deep lake covering 164 hectares. See the company’s full sustainability plan here.
